The Graduate College of Management - where Southern Cross offers both MBA and DBA degree studies - specializes in developing management programs for industry both in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Tutors
Professors and lecturers from Southern Cross University will come to Guangzhou to give lectures for separately 12 hours for eight units. Local tutors selected by SCU and China Star will deliver the rest of courses.

Dr Shankar Sankaran's current research involvements include:

Professor Chad Perry has won more than $300,000 worth of competitive research grants. As well, he has won three University-wide awards and two Best Paper awards at national conferences. He has written or co-written three textbooks ( the most recent being Qualitative Marketing Research published by Sage), and more than 100 journal, conference and other papers, including articles published in international journals such as The European Journal of Marketing, Qualitative Market Research: an International Journal (he is on the Editorial Board of these journals), International Business Review, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Asia Journal of Marketing and Management Science. One of these articles won the Editorial Board's 'Outstanding Paper' award in 2000. He has been invited to present at more than 20 research seminars at more than 12 Australian, New Zealand and European universities.

Stephen Marks had about ten years experience in teaching MBA. His academic experience includes five years in the Faculty of Commerce at the University of NSW, one year at Hawkesbury College, four years at university of Technology, Sydney and six years at University of Western Sydney, Nepean. Stephen joined SCU in 1990. Stephen's research areas include Quality Management, Productivity Budgeting, Management Science and Instructional Design.

Ken Dundas has taught in the MBA since its inception. His early academic training was in economics. Later academic studies saw Ken move into the broader management area. He has also taught in the USA, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and has presented a number of conference papers on management issues both in Australia and overseas.

Marjorie Askew joined Southern Cross University in 1990 following two years lecturing at Croydon Business School, London. Prior to entering academic life, Marjorie had some 16 years experience in marketing and management in the UK with Shell Chemicals, Sunbeam and managing a marketing and promotions agency.

Val Morrison joined Southern Cross University following eight years at Bond University on the Gold Coast. Prior to her academic time, Val had rich experience in sales and marketing roles. She launched and operated a large retail sports store then branched into the manufacture and distribution of sportswear throughout Australia. As well as working for SCU, Val currently consults independently for Rodger Hilton Associates, an integrated marketing communications company, working mainly on new business and marketing research as well as hosting monthly training seminars for senior managers in the Brisbane district.
